SoVerNet’s telecommunications services include both Internet and Telephone Services. The Internet services are available as stand-alone accounts or as a “Service Bundle” which includes telephone services. Our Bundled Services provide the greatest value on overall telecommunications costs because of the deep discounts--- up to 20%---we are able to offer on integrated services. INTERNET  
We have been providing reliable, affordable, locally-accessed Internet services since 1995. Our network is fully redundant, meaning we have multiple DS-3 connections to several Tier-1 providers ensuring that traffic gets rerouted in the event of problems beyond our network. We monitor our network 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, using state-of-the-art monitoring software and fully-trained personnel.

Data services range from Dialup to DSL-based Broadband, right on up to fractional and full T1/DS-3 services. For travelers, we provide both National Roaming and an "800"-number Remote Dial-In option for use where a roaming number is unavailable.

Internet accounts may be paid for by check/money-order, credit card, or electronic funds transfer (ACH/EFT). We also offer special discounts on Intermittent Dialup access to full-time teachers and students, nonprofits, and seniors.

Business Accounts provide expanded services beyond Residential Account offerings, and run from Dialup, to Broadband Business High-Speed Access (SDSL), right on up to our T1/DS-3 dedicated accounts. Our business-class dedicated accounts include 24/7 monitoring with a special Monitor phone extension so you are assured of always being able to reach help.

TELEPHONE SERVICES

Telephone services are provided in Vermont, in areas where we can colocate our equipment in the local Central Offices. Our voice services include Local Calling, In-state and Out-of-State Long Distance, Toll-Free Service, International LD, and voice/data products such as "Voice-Turbo." Our voice services are intended to be bundled with our data services to provide our customers with "One-Stop Shopping" and discounts up to 20% off current Internet/Phone services as purchased separately.

The Bundle

Phone/Internet service bundles or a multi-service phone bundle provide discounts on monthly service fees of up to 20%! The discounts apply to monthly fees on phoneline, Calling Features, Internet access, and Additional Services, AND to local and LD phone usage. Taxes, surcharges, regulated fees, and one-time setup fees are not subject to discounting

VACATION MODE—Vacationers can put Personal High-Speed Access and residential phone service accounts into a temporarily inactive state at reduced monthly rates. Note that with PHSA-Plus’s included Dialup Access & National Roaming capability, you might find it more convenient to use them than to deactivate your PHSA-Plus account (see “Roaming”). The minimum Vacation Mode period is 1 full calendar month, maximum is 6 months in any 12-month period. When suspended:

ROAMING ACCESS
We provide you with 2 ways to access your account while vacationing or on the road: Roaming and Remote Dial-In. Each has it’s own niche, but they supplement each other nicely.

Note: with either service, be sure to return your dialer to a local 7-digit SoVerNet access number when you return so you don’t pay long distance or Remote Dial-In charges!

(Note: Use of Roaming Numbers requires that you change your dialer set up and use a Dialup Number local to where you’ll be. )<

Remote Dial-in
For long-distance access where there is no Roaming number available, or for those who move around a lot and don’t want to fuss with constantly changing access numbers, we offer a Remote Dial-In Service via an 888 number. The cost of Remote Dial-In service is $.11/minute, billed in full-minute increments, with a minimum charge of $1.00 if the service is used during the month. Payment will be by the method currently selected for payment of your Internet service account. Confirmation of the charges will be emailed to your main SoVerNet account each month. When you sign up, your confirmation will include the 888 number to be used.

DIALUP DISCOUNTS
Prepayment Discounts—Dialup only

4-for-Free—Prepay for 8 months of dialup service, get 12 months! Save 33%! Any extra Additional Services bill at normal rates.


Discount Program for Seniors, Students, Teachers, and Non-Profits—Dialup only

This discount program provides a 20% savings over our regular Intermittent Dialup fees. The program requires proof of eligibility and is available to:

The discount in this special Discount Program applies to all stand-alone Intermittent Dialup accounts (not to DSL accounts) and to any of our current Additional Services purchased while a member of the program. In order to take advantage of this Discount Program the account must be paid for monthly only, by credit card or electronic withdrawal from checking or savings (ACH).

If you prefer to make just one payment and receive a larger discount, consider our regular dialup prepay option of 4-For-Free which will save you 33% when you prepay 8 months at the normal rate and get 12 months of service. Additional Services under the 4-For-Free are not discounted and may be paid monthly or longer term at their normal rate.

OVERSEAS ADVANTAGE PLAN—Save money on your International calls! This is a special group of most-commonly-called countries for which we can provide deeply discounted per-minute rates. Rates do not apply to cellular calls.

REFERRAL CREDITS PROGRAM—You can earn yourself a bit of credit, and our thanks as well, by referring your friends, family, acquaintances to us. We will apply a $40 credit (per Dialup or residential phone service referral) or a $100 credit (per DSL or business phone service referral) for each new customer who comes to us via your recommendation. High-Speed Access (DSL) customers should note that, since your lines have qualified for PHSA or BHSA service, it's quite likely that your neighbors' lines also will qualify. The Fine Print says that they must maintain a fully paid account for at least 2 months before the credit is awarded. The only thing you must do is to be sure they give us your SoVerNet username or SoVerNet telephone number when they sign up. This ensures that the proper account gets the credit. Note: only one credit per referral.

HIGH-SPEED ACCESS PARTNERS
In areas beyond the reach of our DSL services, we have teamed with others who can offer our service via their networks. If you wish to bundle their Internet access with our telephone services, discounts are available—

If you are in the Wilmington/Dover section of Vermont, we have partnered with DTiNET to bring high-speed cable-Internet to your area. You can switch service, keeping your SoVerNet username(s), webspace, etc while gaining the faster access of cable.
