Voicemail Retrieval Numbers
“xxx-MAIL”

To check your messages:
I. Use the local XXX-MAIL (-6245)
voicemail number if there is one for the area you’re in, or pick one
closest to home. The automated operator will prompt you on retrieving your
messages. You will need to enter the 7-digit phone number for which the voicemail
is enabled, and the 4- to 10-digit password you set up.
- Dial the Voicemail System number xxx-MAIL (-6245);
the automated operator will say,
“Welcome to the Message Center. Please enter a mailbox number or wait.”
- Key in your 7-digit phone number at the prompt (ie: the “mailbox number”)
- If this is a Multi-Box system, when the primary greeting starts,
press *, then the mailbox ID digit for your box
- If accessing a One-Box system, the 7-digit number will drop you right into the message area.
- When you hear your greeting start to play:
- Immediately press the * key,
- Enter your password and check messages.
- Save or delete messages per the key-press options presented to you.
II. Dial your home number directly.
- When you hear your greeting start to play:
- Immediately press the * key (if a Multi-box system,
press *, then your box ID digit)
- Enter your password and check messages.
- Save or delete messages per the key-press options presented to you.

If you have no waiting messages, you’ll be offered the menu of options after a short pause. If you do have messages waiting, you’ll be offered the option of listening to them first, if you wait a second or two, you’ll get the menu of options available.
For reference, the menu codes are:
- 8 (U) User Options
- 6 (M) Make New Message
- 9 (X) Exit
- 7 (P) Play Message
- 4 (G) Give Message to Another (Forward)
- 5 (K) Keep Message
- 3 (D) Discard Message
