Form Example Page This form is a very, very simple example of what
can be done through the use of the formmail script resident on our servers
and available to all SoVerNet customers. Those of you whose scripts are set up to email responses to either a SoVerNet address or to a domain hosted by SoVerNet, will not be affected. To establish an additional email account for use in your script login to the online Account Tools. Click on the additional emails button and submit the desired username. You'll receive a confirmation and password for the account via US Mail within the next day or two, depending on when you set it up. Then return to the Tools interface login and login using the new email name and password. Click on the Forwarding button and enter the full email address you want this SoVerNet email account to forward to. As soon as this is processed, you should receive an acknowledgment of the forwarding at that email address. Then, add the new SoVerNet email address to your formmail script. Contact webmaster@sover.net if you have any problems. New formmail script users are encouraged to download the source code from this page, make relevant changes, and experiment so as to massage the code to their satisfaction. To do this, simply go to your browser's menubar, thence on to the File Menu...choose "save as," naming the file form2.html...tell your browser "where" to save the file on your hard disk...click "save" and the html code will be saved to your hard disk. Once the file is saved to your hard disk you can manipulate it just as you would do any other html file. If you have any questions re the code please visit the sites mentioned below. Unfortunately, we simply do not have the time to fine tune this script to your particular preference, but we will be happy to advise you as best we can within a limited capacity. One tip...when you look at the "code" you will notice that respondents, after making their comments, are directed to a page that "thanks" them for their advice...this is a nice touch for your visitors. And, another tip...note that, in the source code for this page we include the url of the particular page the comment script is on...this lets you know what page the comment is coming from IF (as is usually the case) a visitor neglects to tell you him/herself... The formmail script author's web site includes information about configuring your forms to use the script. The web site also includes a list of examples to assist you.Questions regarding the above should be directed to Webmaster...
