LOCAL TELEPHONE SERVICE
(Rates listed below are exclusive of taxes, regulatory fees, Service Fund charges, Bundle discounts, etc. They represent basic monthly service fees and usage rates.)
You have a choice of local-service account types: Unlimited (in select locations) or Local Measured. The choice you make depends on your calling patterns and location.
Unlimited Service is also called “flat rate” service, because you pay the same flat rate, every month. Unlimited service is available in select locations.
Local Measured Service is available throughout the State (except in areas served by the Independent telcos). Local usage is charged, though we give you a hand by including $5-worth of local usage, before the meter kicks in.

LONG DISTANCE
One flat rate for all direct-dialed domestic Long Distance calls, 24/7. Long Distance Service includes your In-State long distance calls and calls to the other 49 States. Any discounts in place on your account are applied to tolls and monthly fees (if any); discount not applied to setup, surcharge, or other one-time fees, nor to taxes or regulatory charges (see Bundle link below).

CALLING CARDS—To request SoVer-PhoneCards just email accounts@sover.net or give us a call. The cards are usable for domestic long distance only (U.S.—does not include Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands) and calls are billed to your primary account number.
To activate, call 1-877-877-2120, option 4, Monday-Friday, 8AM-6PM. If you are not calling from your primary phone number, be sure to have your Challenge Question answer at hand for verification. Once your card number is verified, you’ll select a 4 digit PIN and you’re done!
In most instances, your new SoVer-PhoneCard will be ready to use within one business day.
Note that payphone use may incur a surcharge. Any discounts in place on your services are applied to PhoneCard charges as well, except for payphone (or other) surcharges, taxes, and similar fees.

Toll-Free Service—What business can be without a Toll-free number for their customers? Rate is the same as regular long distance, and any Bundle discount in place on your service applies to Toll-Free charges as well (except for taxes, regulatory fees, etc).

“Overseas Advantage”—Save money on your International calls! This is a special group of most-commonly-called countries for which we can provide deeply discounted per-minute rates. There is a monthly service fee, but no setup fee, no monthly toll minimum, and the same billing increments as our regular International calls. The normal phone features Order Fee applies, so order along with other features to pay just 1 fee for all. Tolls and monthly service fee subject to any applicable Bundle discount (with the usual exceptions). Unless otherwise noted, special rates do not include cellular calls.

VOICE-TURBO
Using Voice over DSL (VoDSL) technology, we can provision dialtone phone lines over your data circuit. Voice-Turbo adds multiple phone lines to your Business-class DSL account. One line is set at 64k of data (e.g.: for faxing), the others at 32k. This bandwidth is available for data when not in use for voice.
Voice-Turbo comes in Unlimited Service and Measured Service, and can be added to either a Business High-Speed Access account or an Extended-BHSA account.
Unlimited Voice-Turbo—One flat rate monthly regardless of amount of local usage. Perfect for high-volume needs, where you can just “do business” and forget about the meter.
Measured Voice-Turbo—Excellent if your local usage pattern varies from month-to-month.
Total-Turbo—Voice-Turbo as a premium service. Measured Service only, with a 5-year contract for both voice and data, and a 6-line minimum. Your choice of 3 Voice Features (same for all lines) is included, as is equipment use, at no charge.

CALLING FEATURES
As with the Additional Services for the Internet accounts, Calling Features will count toward the number of services in your bundle. We charge only one $10 Order Fee, per-order for most features, regardless of the number of services you choose at the time, so it pays to try to order the ones you want all at once. Not all Features are available in all locations, our Sales Team can advise.

CALL TRACE—allows you to trace harassing phone calls on-demand. Traced call info is released only to Police or other authorities. There is no Order or Setup Fee for this service. The charge is $1.50 per use, with a $5 processing fee added to prepare a report when one is requested.

Outgoing ID BLOCKING, PER CALL—free service. To prevent your phone number from displaying on the Caller-ID unit of the number you dial, you simply precede the phone number with a special code. The display is blocked for that particular call only; the next time you dial a number, if you omit the code, your number will display on a Caller-ID unit. Exceptions are for 911 and 800 calls. Your number is not blocked from these numbers as 911 needs to know where you are calling from to render you aid, and 800 numbers, according to the FCC, have the right to know, since they pay the bill.
Outgoing ID BLOCKING, PER LINE—free service for persons with non-published numbers, and for anyone having a heightened safety risk. You must request that we set this up as it is not something you can do by entering a code. Here, too, 911 and 800 numbers are the exceptions to the display block.

TOLL RESTRICTION—The following prevent your phone from being used for the specified type of outgoing calls:
- In-State LD*—$5 setup; $1 monthly charge
- Inter-State LD* —$5 setup; $1 monthly charge
- Combined In-State/Inter-State—$5 setup; $1.50 monthly charge
- Inbound, Third-party Billed, Collect—no charge for setup or monthly
These blocks are available on request, where available. PIN override is available, in some locations, on In-State and Inter-State Restrictions when both are enabled. Note: calls to 900, 700, 500, and 10-10-xxxx numbers are permanently blocked by default; no override available.

DIRECTORY ASSISTANCE/OPERATOR CALL BLOCKING*—This block, available on request in certain locations, prevents outgoing calls to the Operator and to Directory Assistance. There is no per-call override.
There is no setup fee, but the Feature is subject to the $10 per-order fee and carries a $3 monthly charge.

ACCOUNT CODES—These are “Verified” user-configurable codes which can be assigned to specific projects, clients, etc.. Once set up, the code is dialed just prior to the phone number. Because these are “Verified” codes, they must be used; if they are not, the call will not go through. LD calls may then be tracked by code on monthly bills. There is no setup or monthly fee for this service, when using SoVerNet-supplied codes; activation must be requested.
We have two options available for those who wish to use custom codes:
- a $25 charge to setup custom codes, and each time a change is requested
- a flat monthly fee of $8, with no additional charge for changes.

VOICEMAIL*—Greeting and messages up to 2 minutes in length. Standard Hunt Group configuration (last trunk points to voicemail), multiple lines not in a Hunt group may be mapped to one box. Voicemail is available in select areas, in 2 versions according to location (Zone 1 or Zone 2, slight variations in features and use), and in 2 configurations: One-box or Multi-box.

LINE BRIDGING* —This feature allows you to have a phone number ring at up to 3 separate addresses, just as if they were internal extensions. Charges are per line (“extension”):

REMOTE FORWARDING*—Automatically forwards a call from one specified (“originating”) number to another (“termination”) number of your choice; numbers are set at the switch, not user-configurable. You do not need a physical office or presence in the originating area. The caller pays any local or LD charges to the initial number (“originating number”), you pay for the cost of forwarding the call to the “termination number” (local or LD).

OFF-PREMISES EXTENSION*—Allows remote lines to be setup as extensions off a PBX in another location (extensions & PBX must all be within the same rate-center).

- Change Directory Listing—$30 setup fee; no monthly charge
- Additional Directory Listing—$30 setup fee; $5.25 per month.
- Un-Published Number—This means your phone number will not be published in the directory, nor will it be available through Directory Assistance—$30.00 setup fee; $5.25 per month
- Un-Listed Number—Your number is not printed in the directory, but it is available through Directory Assistance—$30.00 setup fee; $3.00 per month.
- Phone Number Change —To change from one SoVerNet number to a new SoVerNet number—$25 setup fee; no monthly
