Business DSL Equipment
SDSL equipment, pre-configured for your specific site, is available.
BHSA accounts are delivered via Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line (SDSL) technology, which provides the same rate of speed both downstream and upstream.
Accounts include routable IP addresses as are reasonably necessary to route your network; circuits are monitored 24/7. BHSA customers are given a special contact number so you can reach one of our Network Monitors at any hour, seven days a week. You may configure your account with a wide range of options from a select list—up to $45-worth are included free. Others are available as Additional Services, for small monthly fees which are added to the account fee each month.
Our Business-DSL accounts support enterprise/networking services, meaning, for example, you can run your own web server. Like other DSL connections, these too are sensitive to distance from the local telephone Central Office. A quick note or a call to the Business Sales Team, can let you know if your line(s) can handle this service.
If your needs are not so extensive, our Small-Business DSL, or Residential DSL, might be just what you're looking for. If your location is too far from the local CO to support the regular Business DSL connection, our Extended-BHSA account may do the job.

If you have secure data on the same LAN that will be connected to the Internet, then we suggest that you check with a Network Security Consultant to be sure that your questions are answered before connecting with SDSL.

Extended-BHSA Accounts (w/Dialup)
Several speed levels available, from 320k to 1544k; specific pricing per level quoted on request.
For those who are located beyond the normal distance limitations of DSL technology. A premium service delivered over T1, perfect when reliability of up time, and the highest level of service are paramount. These DSL-type accounts can handle voice without additional equipment, releasing the bandwidth to data use when not in use for calling.
Accounts are available in four flavors—Local (provided within the service areas of our colocated Central Offices); Remote (provided beyond the service areas of our colocated Central Offices); Rural-Local and Rural-Remote (providing service to areas classified as “rural” by Central Office location); which to choose is dependant on location relative to local phone company’s Central Office. Ext-BHSA connections require the use of an 8- or 16-port IAD—modem/router/csu are not needed, though a router may be used in conjunction if desired.
Extended-BHSA Equipment
8-Line IAD with fully-functioning router that, when combined with voice services, can accept up to 8 lines, or 16-Line IAD capable of accepting 16 lines when combined with voice services. (See Voice-Turbo). Your business-sales rep can provide current equipment details and pricing.

Small-Business DSL Accounts with Dialup & Phone Services (SBHSA)
Built on SDSL to serve the special needs of the smaller business with network access requirements. These accounts come bundled with a minimum of 2 Voice-Turbo lines and are designed to handle your business's voice and data needs. SBHSA accounts include separate Intermittent Dialup Access, as well as SDSL–416k, 1 IP address and Priority Routing.
SBHSA Equipment—SBHSA accounts use an 8-port IAD capable of NAT (private IPs), with fully-functioning router that, when combined with voice services, can accept up to 8 lines. Modem/router/csu are not needed, though a router may be used in conjunction if desired. (See Voice-Turbo)
