DSL Services As of August 2000, SoVerNet is offering Business SDSL in Brattleboro, Bellows Falls, Burlington, Manchester Center, Rutland, Putney, and Woodstock. Montpelier and Bennington SDSL service is scheduled to begin in July 2000. Plans are in place to expand this service to areas within 2-3 miles of our current POPS in St. Johnsbury and White River Junction during the next several months. Plans for deploying this technology in towns beyond our current POP locations are under development, as well. Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line (SDSL) functions perfectly to meet the needs of our business customers, providing an economical alternative to the more high priced, traditional means of bandwidth transport. Download and upload speeds are the same, starting at 160k. Coupled with routable IP addressing, full 24/7 monitoring, and two dialup connections for remote work, we feel that this is a wonderful solution for the business owner looking for additional reasonably priced bandwidth. SDSL is a modem technology that transforms ordinary copper lines into digital lines allowing high-speed Internet access delivered at great savings. Starting at $135/month, this new service can replace the more expensive, traditional Frame Relay and Point-to-Point T1's currently in use. The level of interest in this service will greatly impact the timing of SoVerNet's roll-out of Business SDSL. Please contact our Sales Team ( sales@sover.net ) and we would be happy to add your name to our list of interested customers and contact you when we have a firm release date for your area. We are also planning to offer residential ADSL in the Burlington, VT vicinity sometime during the third quarter of this year. Gradual deployment throughout the State will follow as Bell Atlantic's ADSL infrastructure allows.
